The Blue Flag is the first common international environmental symbol and is awarded by the "Foundation for Environmental Education" (FEE). It is an environmental award for bathing and recreational marina operators. Municipalities and clubs can apply for the Blue Flag. The criteria for the Blue Flag concern four areas: - water quality, - environmental communication, - environmental management and - beach, service and safety.
