Stockhausen invites you to take a break. The Stockhausen estate is a landmark of the village and a great photo motif. Right next to it is the village center with a playground and sports field, a bakehouse and seating.

The castle complex is surrounded by a moat and consists of a manor house, a gate building with adjoining coachman's house and horse stable as well as two barns and a pigeon tower. In the village, due to its very valuable building substance, 19 facilities are under monument protection. Farm oaks, orchards and farm gardens complete the picturesque village structure. Since 1989, the village community has been working hard to preserve Stockhausen in its traditional form and to develop it further in such a way that it will continue to be a good place to live, work and live in the future. Stockhausen has received several awards for this: In 1995, Stockhausen won the gold plaque in the competition "Our village shall become more beautiful" at the state and national level. In 1997, Stockhausen was named a "Cultural Model Village" and in 1999 it was confirmed as a participant in the "EXPO Initiative East Westphalia-Lippe".
